There are a lot of options when it comes to advertising on the Web. One of the many options that you can use to advertise your website is paid search. Have you ever noticed that when you use a search engine like Google to search for a particular thing on the side of the search engine results page is a long list of features websites and links?

There are usually some at the very top of the page also. Those are all website that use paid search. Paid search is one form of search engine marketing. Users pay a certain fee that is usually based on a sliding fee schedule depending on the search engine marketing content of the website to have a link and a description of their website placed at the very top of the search engine results page.

The website still needs to use search engine optimization and search engine marketing in order to get listed but the extra fee will guaranty that there is a prominent link to that website at the very top of the page whenever someone does a search for the keywords or key phrases that are listed on your site. Paid search might seem similar to pay per click advertising, where a company only pays when someone clicks on an ad that leads the customer to the company’s website but the two advertising options are distinctly separate. Most companies use a combination of search engine marketing, paid search and pay per click advertising in order to drive more customers to their websites.

It can be quite time consuming to manage the budget for pay per click or paid search advertising because many search engines have a complicated rate structure that encompasses many factors. Usually the fees are based on the keywords or key phrases that you are using and how many people are clicking on your ads. If you don’t have the time to manage your online advertising or you’re not very experienced at setting up online advertising it might be a good idea to hire a ppc management company or a paid search management company.

Companies that specialize in ppc management can work with you to make sure that you don’t go over your advertising budget and that you are getting the most traffic that you can get out of these advertising methods by using only relevant and popular keywords. Paid search management companies can also make sure that your online advertising is being targeted to the right target market so that your ad dollars aren’t being wasted. You can use great search engine marketing techniques and pay a fortune for paid search and pay per click advertising but if you’re not reaching the right target market your sales won’t go up at all. Internet advertising is nothing like traditional advertising so if you’re not sure how Internet advertising works you should consider hiring a search management company to help your company get the most from advertising online.

Google Changes How To Do Accurate Keyword Research For Free

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008
by Dave Joa

Google has just upgraded the Adwords External Keyword Tool so that it now also shows Search Volumes for the Keywords it returns during keyword research. As Google is the biggest source of keyword search phrases, due to the fact that it is the dominant search engine used by web surfers, this news is extremely significant.

Before this new release all involved in affiliate and internet marketing would have had to use a paid keyword research service, such as Keyword Discovery, Wordtracker, Wordze or Keyword Elite to create their keyword lists. The trouble with these services has always been that the amount of data they collect is small in comparison to what Google sees. On the other hand the number of searches recorded by Google is massive compared to what these traditional keyword services provide.

Up until now all the keyword research tool services available have just tried to estimate search volumes from the little data that they have, but at best these were only really best guesses and probably have never been very accurate. With no other tools showing anything any more accurate they are what have been used for years.

The Google Adwords external keyword tool has changed all this as it now displays key phrase search volumes that are not calculated, but which are taken directly from real search volume data gathered by Google from their own search engine. Now anyone performing keyword research can get all the data they need directly from Google, which will be much more accurate than that provided by the paid keyword research services.

What is more Google provides all this keyword data for free! Although designed originally for use just with Adwords by affiliate marketer this external keyword tool, as it is known, is available for anyone to use totally free. Once you know the link or URL you can just go straight to the tool and use it whenever you want.

The new data revealed by Google is a significant in the history of Internet marketing. Eventually Google looks like they have given web marketers what they want. As is normal many still do not trust Google and think there maybe something else behind the release of this new data and they also suggest it might not be that accurate. Of course time will reveal the real answer to this doubt, but early results are suggesting that the accuracy of their data is acceptable.

The other major aspect of what Google have just done is that there is a different free version of the tool so that geographically related data can now be discovered, enabling internet marketers to do keyword research specifically for individual countries such as the UK, France or even New Zealand. Thus this is now the best UK keyword research tool for keywords search for in only the United Kingdom.

This is extremely useful as the paid keyword research tools are not good at providing this localized information and remember again that it is free!

The Easiest Way To Make Money On The Net

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008
by Ade Carone

The easiest way to make money on the net is to join an affiliate program and begin selling someone else’s product. The benefits of this greatly outweigh any negatives, and allow you to get started for minimal to no cost at all.

The only thing you have to do as an affiliate marketer is to send visitors through to the merchant’s website. When they purchase a product, you get credit for the sale.

When it comes to starting the journey of online marketing, many people see themselves as a success, yet drop like flies when push comes to shove.

I have been in your shoes (if you are new) so don’t think that everyone starts out as a guru. I spent many years going in circles and wasting too much money. Talk about depressing.

I got moving along for the better when I began to ask lots of questions on forums, marketing panels, etc… You need to get yourself out into the marketing world and begin learning as much as humanly possible.

It doesn’t matter what course of action you plan to undergo with your marketing efforts. Just make sure that you create a blueprint and follow your plan.

When I got started I set myself up a guide to follow and it greatly helped my progression. I suggest you do the same and also seek advice from others to help you formulate your own plan.

Ask for advice when getting started. I recommend you sign up at Clickbank and search for help on getting started with them. They also have an extensive library of frequently asked questions.

Making loads and loads of cash on the internet really is easy, but only after you have spent a lot of time mastering the principles of basic affiliate marketing. This is only a reasonable expectation though.

If you are interested in making lots of money, just for the sake of buying expensive toys, I would suggest you don’t waste your time and find another interest. Marketing is for serious minded, motivated people only.
