Does this scenario sound familiar to you?

You read countless articles, seek endless expert advice and hear numerous success stories of people building massive wealth on the Internet with opt-in lists, and you finally decide to have one of your own. You think you know everything there is to know about opt-in lists and follow all the advice to the Tee. Yet you still haven’t made a dime.

In fact, you’re leaking money, fast. A bit here whan you hired writers to help out with your articles, a bit there on advertising, and an even larger chunk on the latest can’t-possibly-fail traffic generating scam. Perhaps your list even got quite big. But only a tiny percentage actually converts to sales.

Either way, you’ve failed to make any profit, and after a few months’ daily scrutiny of your statistics and sales figures, you come to the conclusion that your dreams of Internet wealthbuilding lie in ruins.

You ask yourself what could possibly have gone wrong. You wonder why others have succeeded where you have failed. You begin to think you were too hasty, diving straight in like that. You begin to doubt the validity of your product, or worse, your own ability.

If this scenario sounds at all familiar, read on.

Before you get any more disheartened, remember that just because you emailed people on your list does not mean they’ll buy instantly. Or, put it another way, HAVE PATIENCE!

Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re already building an opt-in list but id doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, here’s three quick and easy steps to set you on the right track:

1) Make sure your product or service is one that people really need.

And learn all about your product. Many people forget this vital element of their affiliate business. Do they really think their subscribers are going to buy something they haven’t bothered to learn about themselves? Not very likely. Your knowledge and belief about your product, or lack of it, is transferred onto your customers. Time spent researching your product thoroughly is time spent wisely.

2) Join forums, where you can provide expert advice and recommendations, allowing you to build an aura of trust around you. By doing this you can build a base around other forum users, inviting them to join your opt-in list. Because they know and trust you already, they will make good customers. Through your forum posts link to your site they will be able to see what your business is all about. They’ll begin to believe in you and your products. You can increase your credibility even more by writing and submitting articles and posting blogs, which will also build more potential subscribers and customers.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list users (forums are an invaluable tool here, too). Let them mentor you - someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do, They can steer you clear of potential pitfalls and mistakes to avoid, because they have gone through it themselves. Experience is the best teacher, and there is nothing better than learning from the mistakes of others!

Building a profitable opt-in list takes great preparation and effort. It won’t happen overnight! Opt-in lists have to be built from scratch and, once built, take some maintenance. Remember to keep it organized and manageable. But use it to Keep your subscribers happy and they’ll be willing to buy from you time and time again. Building your list, is the way to build Internet wealth!

Succeed By Learning From The Wealthiest Man Who Ever Lived

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008
by Bobby Keating

King Solomon was acclaimed as the wisest and the wealthiest man to have ever lived. These are two characteristics (wisdom and wealth) that we all learn about this ruler of Israel, the son of King David.

You have the same ability to accomplish your dreams simply by learning the keys to King Solomon’s success? What could you accomplish by learning how to apply these keys to your life? These Keys to Success, written by King Solomon in The Proverbs and in The Book of Ecclesiastes, will help you become successful in every area of your life. Thousands of millionaires attribute their success to their study of King Solomon’s Proverbs.

Every day we hear hundreds of preachers and coaches who preach and teach that you can be successful and prosper but there are few who actually teach the ‘how to’ part. They will quote scripture after scripture that tells you that you can be successful. However, no one tells you how to become successful - the practical application of these principles as they apply to your life.

By studying the Biblical ‘how to’ book and applying it to your everyday life, you will experience the success that you need. When you study these keys and follow them carefully, you will succeed at whatever you try. You will become healthy, wealthy and wise.

It does not matter whether you are a graduate of a University or whether you barely scraped by the GED test. It doesn’t matter whether you have $20,000.00 dollars to invest or whether you have $0.20 to invest. The only thing that matters is that you believe that God wants for you to succeed and, when you diligently study His Wisdom, you will experience success in ways that you never thought possible.

Just as we are spiritual beings and physical beings, there are laws that govern our physical nature and there are laws that govern our spiritual nature. The One who created this physical world placed the physical laws, those that govern the physical world, into effect. The laws that govern the spiritual aspect of our existence are even more powerful that the physical laws because they also affect the physical world in which we live.

Let’s take a look at the airplane. Aeronautical engineers and aircraft designers know and keep in consideration the dynamic physical laws that govern flight. They have a deep understand these laws of aerodynamics and observe them in detail. The aircraft pilots also know and abide by these undeniable physical laws. Suppose they did not keep these physical laws of aerodynamics. The flight would not only be short but it would be deadly one. The physical laws that govern this world are strictly enforced and we can see them observed on a day to day basis.

King Solomon understood that there are also ‘living laws’ or ‘laws of living’ that govern our lives on a daily basis and must be strictly adhered to because they are strictly enforced, just as the physical laws. It does not matter whether you love or hate the physical laws that govern the universe, they still exist. We can ignore them but the consequences are drastic. Likewise, it does not matter whether we love or hate the ‘living laws’ that govern our daily lives, they exist. We can ignore them but, again, the consequences are dramatic.

You do not need to continue reading if you feel that there is nothing more that you can, would, could or should do. If you want to be successful in life, the guidance and tutelage of the Master of the Universe is essential. By enhancing your understanding of God’s Holy Word, your relationship with Him will deepen. Wisdom is supreme and, no matter what the cost, we must seek understanding. When we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. This does not mean the self-centered materialistic desires. This means the true and sincere desires. We’re going to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven because we know (Jesus told us) that everything else will be added to us.

You must study the Wisdom of God to be qualified as a ‘Good Steward’ of God’s property. As you progress in your study, you will become a good steward of great wealth. Applying Solomon’s Principles of Success, found in the Book of Proverbs, will help you to attain an even greater level of success.

I must also incorporate a warning here. If you study these laws and ignore them, you are setting yourself up for disaster. It is better that you make a commitment now to develop the attitude of success and stick to it. You will succeed. God has given you the wisdom through His Holy Bible to succeed.

When taking advantage of the Internet, the prospect of working from home is quite the appealing idea for many people. However, it is important to realize that a successful home based business usually doesn’t sprout up overnight. You must have the patience and willpower to take the time and effort needed to see results and possess the flexibility to alter your approach when the time should come. All of the patience, determination, and restraint you put into a home based business is worth it, regardless if you begin a traditional business approach or seek one based on the Internet.

The biggest advantage there is to starting a home based business is that you are free to start small and build your business at your own pace. You have the flexibility to keep your day job while building your home based business until you are at a place financially where leaving your day job will not put you or your family in jeopardy. This is significant, because the point of having the home based business is to improve your life, not ruin it and it is only with a home based business that you will have this luxury.

Another benefit to pursuing a home Internet based business is the low start up expenses. The minimum equipment needs to start a home based business is a computer and connection to the Internet, which allows one to easily sell one or more services or products at the same time. Even obtaining a presence on the web with a specialized site doesn’t cost much.

The whole point is to improve your home life. Having a home based business offers you more flexibility in your schedule so that you are able to be with your family more. You will be able to make those school and sporting events as well as other family needs. Plus it saves you money. There is no longer a long commute to work, so you save on gas and wear and tear on your vehicle. This savings allows you to build your business quicker and work on personal development which is important for everyone especially an entrepreneur.

As you consider the idea of a home based business, you will find that they tend to possess low overheads and when situated on the Internet - are easily transportable. Wherever there is a connection to the Internet, you can gain access to a satisfying international consumer base while working anywhere. Home businesses established offline are also portable, but tend to stick within a particular region.

When comparing offline service, the marketing tools and strategies offered on the Internet are usually less expensive. It is also not uncommon to find marketing resources on the Web that are free of charge. All you have to worry about is knowing what you have to do and be willing to put in the legwork. For instance, when using articles to increase website traffic, you have to learn different marketing techniques on the Internet, as this will help you enhance your home based business without extravagant costs.

Another advantage of starting a home based business is that you will be able to gain tax benefits for working at home which can offset some of your current home expenses. For example, the percentage of your home you use for your business can be claimed as a tax deduction as can a percentage of power costs. You can also claim training and business related educational expenses.

The advantages to having your own home based business far exceed any downside there could be to working from home. As long as you are realistic and realize that you will not be “rich” overnight and you are willing to be dedicated and put in the time you will be successful. The easy part is starting; the hard part is making it work and getting profit out of it. Remember patience, persistence and perseverance are the keys to being successful. There are many people working from home and being successful following those precious little ideas.
